An Annoying Acquaintance of Mine

I don't understand some people. Maybe deep in my heart I do, but still I refuse to accept it.

Like this person. In the past she said that she and her family didn't like cookies. "Jars of cookies will be left alone in this house," she once told me.

Remembering that, my partner and I decided to give her family a jar of candies. I know that her child loves them. But upon receiving the candies, instead of saying, "Thank you..." etc. etc. she and her child said, "Too bad you didn't give us a jar of cookies."
