My Early Attempt to Write Sci-Fi
Found this old writing of mine. Made me chuckle. So many things have changed. Yet I am intrigued... I feel there's a story to tell. One day, perhaps, I'll continue writing this piece.
The sky is falling, I tell myself, somewhat unconvinced, yet still afraid. I look at the sky, full of vehicles created by an alien race. Human beings. They seem eager and sharp, dangerous and ruthless.
Human beings. They perplex us. Since Planet Earth was destroyed in the beginning of the thirtieth century by an alien race, their greed becomes greater and greater. They have conquered and destroyed other races living in most of the galaxies. They need more places, more spaces. They are hostile and inconsiderate. They only care for other humans, not to other races that they call "aliens". To us, they are the aliens.
With hesitant, halting steps I drag my feet to the remaining shelter camp. Only one remains. The other camps were annihilated last week. Only a week has passed, but humans have already killed most of the Rolksan, my race. About fifty of Rolksans survive, but for how long?
Billions of alien vehicles block the light of Souri and Louri, our twin suns. The few troops of Rolksan hover nearby, trying to protect our planet. They are being smashed to smithereens. I am fascinated and repulsed at the same time. I despise the sight, but I can't help myself from staring.
When I arrive at the camp, I sadly look around, finding vacant faces and minds. I draw a deep sigh. I have to do what I have to do. Heavy is my heart, knowing the inevitable has come.
"My Queen..." One of my guards stands before me. "You have to flee with us!" The urgency cannot be concealed from his voice. He hands me a small control panel.
I shake my head in determination. "What use of me now, my faithful guard? I am old and weary. I can't lead you anymore." I pause. "But do take along my daughter, make her your new queen." Seeing him about to protest, I wave my hand. "Say no more. Mount the Rolksan fleet now with the others. Now!"
My subjects stare at me, pleading, hoping. I shake my head again. At last they follow my order. After making sure that nobody remains in this planet but me, I seal the fleet with all the strength and power that I have. I can hear humanmade vehicles roaring outside, smelling strongly of victory and arrogance. I wipe my tears as I press one button, enabling the fleet to soar high in the sky, crashing some human vehicles as it moves on.
I go outside, carrying the control panel. I smile, a sad but hopeful smile. I enter a capsule of protection with dignity. Staring at the sky defiantly, I press another button. Hunae, our planet, my planet, explodes with a loud bang. I nod in
satisfaction seeing the alien vehicles destroyed. The capsule should hold me for a few seconds now. Then I feel the strength begins to fade. Oblivion, here I come.

Author's Note:
Made in about 30 minutes, too lazy to check and recheck. *sigh* Writing sci-fi isn't really my forte!
