My Divinity Stone

I first stumbled upon Pow-Wow practice four or five years ago. I acknowledged my calling then.

Pow Wow tradition required one having a divinity stone. The stone functions as "black hole", sapping negative energies, illnesses, etc. An essential for a healer. Finding one is a magical adventure itself, so Silven Ravenwolf said in her book, American Folk Magic. She couldn't find hers for months. I couldn't find mine for years.

I tried every stone that I had. None felt right. I found two that I think were quite okay... one quartz and one amethyst. But they were too small.

Then last year, I got a package from my sister in Holland, Monique Poulussen (reminds me to find her address, I lost it when I moved here). It contained a brown stone. She said it was magic stone for me. I touched it gingerly. It simply pulsated with energy.

I knew it was my divinity stone.
