Sierra Computer Games
I grew up with Sierra computer games. From King Quest to Gabriel Knight, I embraced the games in delight. They helped me in facing the world. I also have to thank computer games for my rich vocabulary. I learned a sense of humor and lots of expressions. Sierra, I thank thee!
Among my favorites are Hero Quest (later was changed into Quest for Glory) and Gabriel Knight. I was so hooked with GK that my nick in ICQ was (and still is, though I rarely use ICQ these days) Schattenjager (shadow hunter/chaser). It has a nice ring to it. Gothic, romantic, yet tough at the same time. True, in my present state I won't be able to chase undead or dark beings, but when I was much younger I thought that I was capable to do that. At least, I was (almost) fearless then. Besides, by becoming a Schattenjager you get to have a cool talisman and a unique dagger!
When GK1 was out, in 1993, my brother and I were able to finish the game, albeit with some difficulties. Recently I tried to play GK1 again, and boy, it was tough! Has it been that long? Have I lost my touch? Questions assailed the core of my soul, making me cower in shame. To think that I had to download a couple of walkthroughs to finish this game!
Hooked again with Gabriel Knight, I tried playing GK3. But due to some errors I couldn't play it on my computer. Oh well... Maybe I should start with GK2 first. If I can find the game, that is! So, anybody, should you happen to have a copy of GK2, please send the game to me and I'll pay you back! Many thanks!

Aku kok gak luck yah maen GK? :D
Lebih gila ke King Quest, tapi yg jelas mang Sierra rajanya pada era itu yg notabene dapat kompetisi berat dari LucasArt. :)
Jadi pengen main lagi game2x lama.
dah lama banget gak main game. kayaknya dah males. padahal dulu termasuk maniak main game.....hehehehe. soale skg lebih seneng travelling alias jalan-jalan
I was too young when GK first came out to really appreciate it. Now it's a different story, of course. :P For me it was LucasArts' point-n-click games that ruled my youth. Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max, Monkey Island series, The Dig.. all of them masterpieces.
If I have to recommend one LucasArts adventure games, it'll be Grim Fandango. Definitely one of the best stories ever. I'd lend it to you if my idiot friend hadn't lost it a year ago.. BTW did you know there are Discworld adventure games, too?
Oh, and if anyone who knows where I can get Full Throttle is reading this, TELL ME! *desperation*
bahagianya dikau, irf, hehe. semenjak punya baby susah nih mau jalan-jalan. dia masi minum asi sih.
ah yes, dear schattenjager, the famous monkey island! yep, i know discworld's games but haven't had the chance to really play them. any good? i also know dragonlance and forgotten realms have some pc games. not that good, unfortunately!

Some fans had been working on an unofficial sequel to King's Quest for a few years, and they planned to make it available via their website for free. However, they recently got shut down by Vivendi, who now owns Sierra.
