The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time & Flowers for Algernon

Just finished reading Mark Haddon's novel. This deep and thought-provoking book reminds me so much of Flowers for Algernon. First, the main characters are both "different". Second, they have close relationship with mice (Toby & Algernon). Third, they are both moving, sad and bleakly funny at the same time.
