One of my lecturers (back in my university years) was a Mr. KnowItAll. I'm saying this not to compliment him. (Yes, Mas Iwok, it's him! You know him, too!) When he knew that I loved to write (still do!), he told me this, "You know what? Only troubled people love to write. If you don't have any problems, then you won't write."
I was angry at him that time, for his haughtiness and uncaring attitude. I still am. Just because he views writers that way (I secretly think that his theory applies to him), it doesn't mean that he's 100% correct!
So, boo to you, Mister!
Boy, I feel much better now for letting this out!

somehow I agree with him (not becoz he's Mas Iwok hehe), I mean trouble in a wider meaning..
maybe problem can be associated with accident, activity, story etc

I think what your lecturer was saying is that we tend to write when we have problems or things to think about.
He's not 100% right sih. By all mean, I do write when I have not got any problem, just depend on when I have ideas, time and whenever I feel like writing.
Sometimes we have ideas but we can't put it into words for some reason, or sometimes we don't have any idea when we really want to write :p
Betul Don! and frankly I never like this man. Thanks God, he didn't teach me for 3 years I'd been there.
Masih terbayang wajah upset dia sambil menggaruk2 rambut panjangnya (yg kata cewe2 nggemesin! weekkss) saat ban mobilnya kita gembosin! hahahaha rasain!
Jujur, mayoritas cowok di kampus ga suka sama dia. kalo ada yg suka malah jadi curiga! hehehehe wayoooo ... siapa yg suka mr. IKnowItAll?
