Writing and Beading

I have always known that I'm into creating stuff. When I was a kid, I used to read a book called "Make and Do" and similar books, to jog my creativity. I tried forming things with clay. Decoupaging. Creating things with papier mache. Making scrapbooks. Decorating with shells. Making recycled paper. Forming bookmarks. Oh, how fun it was!

Then a friend (Hi, Nengti!) taught me how to knit. We even made handmade bracelets and sold some, when we was still in senior high. I loved doing those things, yet something in me yearned for another outlet.

When I became a published author, I felt exhilarated because I could put my ideas into books. Oh sure, the process is quite long, but I always feel satisfied holding my own books. Still, I feel the need to create things with my own hands. Not just words.

Recently, I became interested in jewelries from beads and of course, swarovski. A dear friend, M, sent me a pair of lovely earrings and necklace. I guess that really took my interest. I bought a book about beading, and lucky me, I even got another book for free as a finalist in BundainBiz tagline contest. I bought the necessary equipment and materials. I even asked my dear sis, Pipit, to buy some stuff for me.

Then I found myself creating plenty of accessories. How thrilling! I decided to open an online store, Rumah Pernik. Alhamdulillah, some seem to love my creations. Their praises and feedbacks propel me to create more and more beautiful things!

To me, writing is very enjoyable. I find beading is wonderful as well. What else are in store for me, in the future? I eagerly wait for new interests to take me, should there be any!
