Pride & Joy

I learn a lot from my kids. They taught me that love is essential, and it needs to be expressed and shared. A lot. They taught me that responsibility is not always without fun. They helped me understand what I really want and need. They make me smile, they make me laugh and then perhaps cry, in a matter of seconds.

I have always wanted to have children, and I used to think when I had them I'd be cherishing them daily, treating them as supreme blessings. I admit I am no saint, so there are times when we drive each other crazy. When we hurt, either by words or gestures. But I have realized how love embraces any misdeeds and understanding might appear when you least expect it.

I am in the process of understanding my babies, vice versa. I thank Thee, Lord, for sprouting love inside my family. I feel blessed because we can say, whatever happens, our love lingers on. And on.

So mote it be.
